An absolute favourite here at Aquascape.Plus, Staurogyne Repens is a beautiful leafy plant that accents any aquarium. This fresh green, compact and hardy plant is ideally suited for the foreground of the aquarium. It was discovered in River Rio Cristalino in the Southern Amazonas. Its nearest relative in the aquaristic is Hygrophila but Staurogyne is different with its marked compact, low and bushy stature (3-10 cm) and small green leaves (each stem is 3.4 cm wide). During planting in the aquarium, the longest upright shoots should be cut off and new horizontally creeping shoots will soon form from the plant basis and gradually colonize the gravel. It is a magnificent plant by all accounts.
This plant is shipped in a 5cm pot. Each pot can be divided into several portions or individual plants and planted separately.

Staurogyne Repens
I got 2 pots and was able to separate them to make quite a few plants. They were in perfect condition and make a nice addition to my tank. Aquascape cares about the products being sold.

Staurogyne repens
The personal delivery was much appreciated. As well as the generous advice for this plant and other aqua gardening tips. The S. repens was a premium quality specimen, with many stems, beautiful leaves and ample roots. One pot was sufficient for over a dozen small trimmed plantings for the foreground of my nano tank. New leaves and root growth already evident in less than two weeks. Highly recommended!!!
