The Bucephalandra Alamanda is beautiful, deep coloured variant of Buce. This varietal fairly hardy and does not have high light demand.
Attach the rhizome to aquarium décor, such as wood, rocks, etc. It should not be planted to avoid the rhizome from rotting.
It is considered a beginner plant. However, care should be taken to not make drastic changes to water chemistry as this can cause the plant to melt and die. Stable environments are recommend for all of an aquarium's inhabitants, including your plants.
This plant, like all plants, will benefit from CO2 additives, though it is not required. It is slow growing and can adapt to a wide array of pH ranges (6.2 to 7.5)
