Background Plants

Background Plants are generally larger plants that grow tall and/or bushy/leafy. These types of plants usually require some planning in that, because of their size, they can limit the amount of light that reaches lower growing plants. When planning your aquascape, always keep in mind light requirements of all the plants you want to use. You may need to trim larger plants to ensure light reaches the leaves of those in its shade.
